A Fantastic Finale to BodyPower Expo 2017 as the Show Closes for 2017

As the doors close on BodyPower for another year, fitness fans have showed once again their passion and commitment for the health and fitness industry.

BodyPower, at the heart, is about inspiring more people to get into fitness and today showed exactly why the visitors we talk to are always so pumped to get back and get straight into the gym after the show!!

We’ve seen a record-breaking number of visitors over the last couple of days and today was another bumper day for visitors and thousands descended on the NEC to meet their idols and shop hundreds of brands.

The show was packed with highlights and amazing moments, here’s just a snippet:

PCA Super Series

The Auditorium has seen the likes of BNBF, PCA, UKUP and WBFF and today it was the turn of the PCA Super Series – the $1,000,000 prize fund event that saw athletes from all over the world come to the NEC for a live-streamed show that pushed the boundaries of a traditional bodybuilding show.

As well as bang-bang sticks and air horns, the PCA Super Series paraded the competitors around the show to give fans an up-close look at the athlete before they took to the stage.

Battle of the Bars

Battle of the Bars was run by world leading calisthenics organisation WCO. The competition looked fantastic, pitting the best calisthenics athletes against each other in a head-to-head freestyle bodyweight battle!

Visitors saw incredible feats of strength in 3-minute rounds that were judged on a points system.

BPU Powerlifting

Powerlifting is an ever-popular part of the show and today it was the turn of the superflights to step into the BPU Arena under the watchful eye of Emma Yitalo-James.

The music was pumping, the crowd were raucous and the lifts were unreal. These competitors pushed their bodies to the limit and it was amazing to see!

BodyPower Gym

Some of the live workouts in this area over the show have been phenomenal. It’s a joy to see star names in the environment where they excel – amongst the iron! Hosted by Jamie Spencer today’s BodyPower Gym was another epic day.

Gymshark’s Lex Griffin and Lainey Keogh (now Lainey Griffin for the newly-weds!) opened the day and the quality was just awesome. Tom Coleman trained with Indian superstar Sangram Chougule, followed by the likes of Dallas McCarver, Kris Gethin, James Alexander Ellis and team session for ON, Grenade and Scitec.

We want to thank each and every visitor who came and made BodyPower another fantastic event. See you next year!
