Record beaten last weekend as BodyPower India opened its doors to thousands of fitness and bodybuilding enthusiasts.
The show held annually in India, filled Bombay Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC), known as the biggest exhibition venue in Mumbai. The three-day show ran from Friday 8th to Sunday 10th January 2016 and was anticipated to be the largest ever, with an overall increase in square footage, competitions as well as its number of exhibitors and attendees.
Nick Orton and his team can look back on a successful show. His vision to make it the biggest fitness event of Asia has been rewarded. BodyPower’s Country Manager, Chris Bubb, said of the event: “BodyPower 2016 was a fantastic event - it seemed to all click together this year and there were 1000’s of fitness enthusiasts all under one roof. A big thank you to all the exhibitors and sponsors who helped to make this the largest fitness expo in India.
I’ve already started planning for 2017 and it's definitely going to be big and better.”
Not only did the BodyPower Director personally manage to attract John Abraham and Salman Khan, the Bollywood stars who made an appearance over the weekend, rewarding winners and participating to Q&A sessions; renown UK and US athletes also answered his invitation and flew over to attend the show, demonstrating the influence and inspiration of BodyPower India.
In addition to getting up close to a plethora of leading national and international athletes such as Phil Heath, Dexter Jackson, Sergi Constance, Jaco De Bruyn and Tom Coleman to name a few, visitors got the opportunity to attend interviews, to compete in numerous competitions and to try the latest fitness trends such as Zumba, Folk Fitness and 260 Degree Wellness.
The team is already planning BodyPower India 2017 and will be back from 6th to 8th January 2017.
All the BP team would like to thank you for your visit and your constant support. See you next year!
