A grand total of 8,331 health and fitness professionals descended on the NEC, Birmingham last week for the rebranded BP: Fitness Trade Show. We are proud to have hosted an event that engaged with the fitness sector like nothing seen before and we view this as a catalyst for change in the industry.
On arrival, visitors would have experienced and observed several curations located in state-of-the-art inflatable structures, with the world’s leading educators sharing their knowledge within them. These curations included Fitness Business School, BP Nutrition, 50+ Fitness, Workplace Fitness, Practical Coaching, PT Forum, ACA Conference, The Gym, PureGym PT Conference, The PT Career Development Conference and The Bootcamp. Each area educated delegates to enable them to walk away from the event with practical information as well as a developed mindset for their business.
Educators such as Jamie Alderton, Phil Learney, Chris Burgess and Martin MacDonald took to the stages to teach delegates about business profitability and retention as well as the importance of nutrition. The likes of Tom Morgan, Matt Warner and Andy McKenzie had a more practical approach, focussing on incorporating bodyweight and small group training as well as developing a strong core. This gave a perfect platform for any practical professional looking to make their coaching more effective. Overall, £1000’s worth of education was available at BP: FTS including a number of REP’s approved sessions, all absolutely FREE of charge.
Guest appearances from Shane McGuigan, Eddie Hall and David Haye allowed visitors to not only benefit from their extensive knowledge but also provided a photo opportunity over the two days. Eddie Hall, The World’s Strongest Man posed his usual straight-talking personality when talking about personalised health and gave a buzz of further excitement for the Wednesday afternoon.
Not only were the educators fantastic, delegates also experienced a range of innovative exhibitors looking to showcase their brand to potential buyers and key decision makers in the industry. Senior professionals from trusts, universities, councils and gyms were in attendance for what was a busy two days.
Escape Fitness brought the noise and were constantly putting people through their paces with a mixture of ‘Move it’, ‘Battle Fit’ and ‘HIIT The Deck’ sessions, at the entrance to the hall. The Physical Company and Jordan Fitness also provided visitors with an opportunity to get hands-on and experience their latest equipment. The other areas reflected the essence of BP: FTS, with networking, key meetings and conferences taking place amidst the expo.
We would like to thank all of our sponsors, media partners, exhibitors, speakers and delegates for attending BP: Fitness Trade Show.
